Being conscious day after day, step by step, slowly results in connecting more and more with oneself and falling in love with ourselves and others. One of the most beautiful and natural consequences of practising conscious living is to finally become who we truly are. It is the best gift we can give to ourselves in this life.
What does it mean to live our true self? How do we know we are doing it? What does it mean to surrender – do we have to blindly follow a Guru or a Master? There are so many questions! Yet as soon as you are connected, the answer will come to you instantly. You will stop analysing, preaching and telling yourself what is right or wrong. You will simply know. No matter what you do, you will feel the connection to your true self-getting deeper and your love and compassion growing stronger. You will be joyful, at ease, and there will be balance and peace no matter what happens to you. You will feel whole and will enjoy the company of others, you will not need anyone nor anything in order to feel accomplished. Life will become joyful and so different!
Life is a consequence of the choices we make along the way
There is no one else but ourselves making our life choices. Make sure you choose your path well and then start walking on it no matter what others say. With each step, it will become more and more clear, where you are heading and what your true life purpose is. There will be no need for distractions such as tarot cards, crystals, astrology, hypnosis, or fortune tellers to help you make decisions and guide you on the right path.
When you first start on your path you might believe you need crystals and other healing methods to help you but the more you grow in your practice, the less you will need these. It is purely part of the process, so do not forbid yourself the enjoyment of spiritual practices. If you enjoy them they will help bring you closer to yourself. However, as soon as you realise you are depending too much on assistance from the outside world and losing touch with yourself, a quick reality check will be required.
Never-ending list of distractions
The more conscious you grow, the more distractions start coming your way, which you may not recognise as such. Here are a few examples:
- Magic rituals, healing cards, enlightened masters, spiritual beings, or healing sessions. Yes, it is lovely to engage in this realm of reality and sometimes you do have to ask for help in order to move on and deepen your connection with yourself. However, these things are not to be used on a daily basis as they can be very powerful and sometimes do more harm than good. For example, a healing herb could heal a certain ailment, yet drinking it every day could be harmful. So remember this and find a healthy balance as you develop further.
- The more conscious you become, the more you will notice how your practice has changed. Seeing other people engaging in rituals that you have stopped doing will make you want to tell them how unhealthy their way of life is but remember, preaching and teaching only shows you have completely lost your inner peace and allowed your mind to take over. When you are truly connected, you are able to love and accept everyone just as they are. You will share compassion and love, which is all that is needed to bring out a change in them.
- Following strict rules and being obsessed with healthy living can make you more stressed and out of balance rather than relaxed and at peace. It is therefore important to sometimes take time off and forget about them. Enjoy life by eating bad food every now and then and even let yourself have one day off a month. Enjoy these days fully, learn to laugh at yourself and your challenges and accept yourself as you are. This will allow you to release your limiting beliefs and realise your true potential.
At the end of the day, each of us stands alone
The more conscious you grow, the more you will realise that you stand completely alone. No one cares about you as much as you do. So take full responsibility for your life and your choices and stand firmly behind your decisions.
It has been scientifically proven that the way we feel and think attracts certain people and circumstances to us. So be aware of where you stand emotionally and especially of your thoughts. People that come into your life are very important; so share as much love and create beautiful moments with them. Yet remember, no matter what they say or do, they cannot change you or help you. Only when you decide to start walking the path of consciousness will you be able to influence a change within you and around you, as well as inspiring others to follow.
Stay strong, follow your calling and the whisper of your heart and you will soon reach home. Remember it is you who creates your own reality and the reason to wake up and live each day fully, consciously and lovingly again an again.
